Staying current, connected and at the forefront of Health is important for our GreenField team and our providers. This engagement ensures that we continue to provide our patients and their families with a top notch, comprehensive experience. Life-enrichment is important to good health and GreenField Health encourages our patients and our care team to participate in the community.
Last week, GreenField Founder Dr. Chuck Kilo had the honor of serving as emcee for The Foundation of Medical Excellence’s dinner and lecture on health policy. Distinguished health care expert Dr. Donald Berwick gave a talk on “The Inevitable Role of Politics in Health Care.” Among Berwick’s many accomplishments, he was administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services under President Obama and served on the faculty of the Harvard Medical School.
The lecture was part of the John Kitzhaber, M.D. Lectureship on Health Policy series. Kitzhaber is former governor of Oregon. The Foundation for Medical Excellence promotes quality health care and sound health policy through physician education, research and other collaborative efforts. Dr. Kilo serves as the Chairman for the Foundation’s Board, maintaining his connection to healthcare leaders and innovative thinkers throughout Oregon. As organizations, patients and community partners in the Northwest continue to take note of GreenField’s innovative primary care model, we look forward to more opportunities the team to participate in exciting and informative events.
