Kristina Brown joined GreenField Health with a unique range of skills perfectly suited to the needs of our Eastside members.
As a doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO), Kristina views a person's body as an integrated whole instead of just focusing on specific symptoms or illness. A DO's additional training in the musculoskeletal system gives her a better understanding of how an injury or illness in one part of the body can affect another. By combining this approach with other evidence-based medical procedures and a focus on preventive health, Kristina offers her patients the most comprehensive medical care available today.
She also utilizes several components of osteopathic manipulative therapy, a hands-on approach that focuses on the body's structure and alignment.
"I believe the patient is the center of the health care team and I am here to help guide, navigate, and provide some insight,” she said.
Kristina’s introduction to health care was as a phlebotomist at Portland Providence. She quickly became interested in medicine and decided to attend medical school at Des Moines University.
In her free time, Kristina and her husband are busy refinishing their home, working in their garden, and tending their chickens. They also enjoy walks and hikes with their small dog, Dobby.
