GreenField Health, 2001-present
The most effective doctor-patient relationships are grounded in collaboration. I respect my patient's role as the expert in their own bodies and preferences, and I believe that my job is to bring clinical expertise to the decisions my patients make to improve their health. I take time to ensure that my patients understand their medical choices and the plans we make together. Most medical decisions are not black and white and these days can lead to often effective but also expensive and stressful testing and treatment. I enjoy helping my patients to choose the path leading towards the best quality of life, on their own terms.
When not at work, I'm likely to be found in the vegetable garden or tending to our urban chickens. I love to cook and preserve our garden's bounty. I'm an avid reader, currently focused on fantasy and science fiction. My family and friends are my other focus. My husband Dave and I are very proud of our daughter and son, Harper and Thomas. There is a lot of silliness and fun in our life every day.
