Kristina Brown joined GreenField Health with a unique range of skills perfectly suited to the needs of GreenField’s Eastside patients.

As a doctor of osteopathic medicine (also referred to as an osteopath or a DO), Kristina views a person's body as an integrated whole instead of just focusing on specific symptoms or illness.  A DO's additional training in the musculoskeletal system gives them a better understanding of how an injury or illness in one part of the body can affect another.  By combining this approach with other evidence-based medical procedures and a focus on preventive health, a DO offers their patients the most comprehensive medical care available today.

“I also utilize several components of OMT (osteopathic manipulative therapy),” a type of hands on approach that focuses on the body's structure and alignment.

Originally, Kristina’s introduction to healthcare was as a phlebotomist at Portland Providence.  Through this experience, she became interested in medicine and decided to attend medical school at Des Moines University.

Kristina offer's her patients support.  "I believe the patient is the center of the health care team and I am here to help guide, navigate, and provide some insight.”

In her free time, Kristina and her husband are busy refinishing their home, working in their garden, and tending their chickens. They also enjoy walks and hikes with their small dog, Dobby.
